This elevated Chilean home is absolutely submerged in nature, offering stunning views of Los Lagos' mountainous landscape. The structure — conceived by Santiago-based architecture studio Aguilo + Pedraza Arquitectos, is a great example of contemporary design that has been optimized to respond to lush forest surroundings.
The Chilean home occupies a region that is engulfed by "oak trees, a lake, and five volcanos." To take advantage of this, Aguilo + Pedraza Arquitectos designed the building with a fully glazed facade and elevated the body of the house above the slope with stilts. The structure is comprised out of a total of four volumes, each one containing a specific function that pertains to the lifestyle necessities.
