Modernized Wood Shacks

The Children’s Playhouse by Anna & Eugeni Bach is Kid-Friendly

The Children’s Playhouse by Architects Anna and Eugeni Bach is inspired by a traditional Finnish barn design. The architects have designed a modern take on a classic, creating a contemporary and kid-friendly play space for their two children.

Located on their family’s farm, the 13.5-sq-m playhouse was realized on an affordable budget that embraced traditional building practices and local materials. This stunning structure was made from simple overlapping wooden planks that prevent the entry of water.

The Children’s Playhouse features a small-scale interior that is divided into two areas and varying levels. Embracing their inner child, architect duo Anna and Eugeni Bach have created an interactive space that is both fun and memorable. From low ceilings for kids to higher headroom for adults, this fun space is fit for a fairy tale.
