Ghostly Child Refugee Projections

UNICEF Projects Images of Child Refugees onto Sweden's Streets

To raise awareness on the staggering number of child refugees in Sweden, UNICEF put together an extremely haunting guerilla campaign. Silhouettes of children were projected onto buildings, benches and bridges in Sweden. The silhouettes were cast in a blue light that gives these children ethereal ghost-like qualities.

Unless you went out looking for these silhouettes, they would be pretty difficult to spot. One of the most frightening things is that no one even seems to take notice of them. This is a powerful way to represent the 3,500 child refugees that are now living on the streets of Sweden.

To help spread the word on this child refugees, UNICEF is encouraging people to sign a petition on its Facebook page.
