Japanese McDonald's locations are adding a new super-sized food option to its menu that allows hungry consumers to order a bucket of 48 pieces of chicken nuggets in one convenient serving. Similar to several other fast food chains, the large quantity of chicken nuggets will now be available in a bucket style packaging for sharing.
In addition to the super-sized menu item, the packaging for the 48-piece packaging promotes a Japanese k-pop group known as NGT48 featuring 25 members. The bucket features McDonald's quintessential color branding in a larger scale package size. The specific number of 48 nuggets per bucket is a reference to the band name. Each bucket will include a slew of chicken nuggets as well a commemorative card inspired by the band.
