It may sound like a type off fizzy drink, but CherryAid is in fact an awareness campaign urging everyone to save the British cherry tree.
As part of this campaign, we have just celebrated National Cherry Day. As much as Iwould love to be able to busy myself saving orchards, eating local cherries and cooking with them as advised, I live in Central London, so that is simply not going to happen.
But for a green PR campaign, the people behind CherryAid have come up with a really awesome tactic for people just like me. You can rent a local cherry tree and pick and eat all of its cherries for the season. It's a great idea!
Of course you could also just support CherryAid by eating in restaurants supporting the campaign.
Below is another article about sponsoring olive trees.
