The Cehegín Wine School in Spain is a stunning subterranean facility dedicated to learning about various types of wine and their different cultivation methods. The gorgeous partially underground wine school is part of a landmark building, 'Casa de la Tercia,' that dates back to the 7th-century and that was designed to accommodate the Murcia town's hilly interior.
The cellar is a limestone vault with low ceilings, originally designed underground in order to keep the wine jars at a maturing vintage al cool temperatures. The new gallery space within the cellar includes framed illustrations and words from a book by Pedro Martinez, a Cehegín native and sommelier. The Cehegín Wine School also features an event space in which special lectures and concerts will be hosted.
