For 420 this year, Carl's Jr. is introducing an ultra-exclusive CBD-infused cheeseburger at one of its restaurant locations for just a day only. The Rocky Mountain High: CheeseBurger Delight is set to be served on April 20th at one of the chain's locations in Denver, offering a combination of bold and unexpected flavors. The burger features a pair of charbroiled beef patties, that are layered with pickled jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, waffle-cut fries and a Santa Fe sauce that's infused with hemp-based CBD oil. The CBD oil that Carl's Jr. will use in these special burgers will be sourced from Bluebird Botanicals, a local Colorado company.
According to Patty Trevino, SVP of brand marketing for Carl's Jr., "We’re thrilled to be the first quick-service restaurant to be testing CBD-infused options."
