Cask-Aged Irish Whiskeys

This New Release from Jameson Was Aged in Irish Stout Oak Casks

Adding a new spin on an already iconic spirit, this latest release from Jameson Whiskey is cask-aged to add an interesting finish.

Jameson 'Caskmates' is the immensely popular Jameson 'Original' triple distilled whiskey that's been seasoned and aged in oak barrels used for storing Irish stout beer. Available for only a limited time, this experimental Irish whiskey takes on dessert-themed flavor notes of cocoa and roast coffee typical to Irish stout. The cask-aged whiskey also gives of a complex aroma of mown hay, crisp fruit, green tea and even milk chocolate.

Adding to the drink's complexity, the finishing aftertaste returns to milk chocolate with hints of sweet but subtle butterscotch. The end result is a collaborative spirit that retains the tradition of the original but adds a subtle twist.
