Camila Valdez, an artist and industrial designer from Argentina, creates scrumptious-looking sculptures of treats, but then humanizes them with a set of gams. She makes her sculptures in likes of her favorite desserts, including cupcakes, popsicles, popcorn and donuts.
Each sculpture is human-sized and made out of fiberglass and epoxy resins. Their legs get unique added touches by being accessorized with fancy shoes and hosiery. Viewers at her exhibits even get a chance to interact with the artworks by being able to interchange the "confectionery" sculptures' accessories, such as their scarves, shoes and socks.
The legs make the desserts bright, fancy, flamboyant and, most importantly, lifelike. Their legs are so realistic that they will have you second-guessing their reality. At first glance, the desserts simply look like ladies in a mascot costume.
