These include introducing British Columbia’s inaugural curbside collection event dedicated to battery recycling, starting on June 3. During this initiative, Squamish residents can conveniently recycle their household batteries, with each collection event accommodating batteries weighing up to 5 kilograms.
Call2Recycle emphasizes the importance of proper battery disposal to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability. Used batteries will be transferred to GFL Environmental Inc. for sorting and further disposal.
