A user's selected digital ingredients will be turned into a real, limited-edition scent, complete with a numbered bottle an NFC tag that can be tapped to access the non-fungible token.
The digital collectible can be "worn" as an aura in an avatar ecosystem from digital fashion company Rtfkt. This unique experience plays with the senses in the metaverse.
"A single scent is incapable of representing this virtual world," says Byredo founder Ben Gorham, "so we formulated a lexicon of elements that collectors can combine at will to make something entirely unique."
