Bug Bistro is Debuting Two Insect-Topped Dishes at This Year's CNE

While many people have come to expect outrageous food offerings at the annual Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), this year's menu features some ultra-creepy creations from Bug Bistro.

For the 2016 CNE, Bug Bistro will be offering up two insect-topped dishes that put a unique spin on traditional comfort food. The first offering is the Bug Dog, which consists of a hormone-free beef sausage topped with crispy mustard crickets. The second bug-worthy dish is called 'Tacos Grillos' and it consists of flour tortillas filled with chipotle-fried beef sirloin and a sprinkling of toasted chilli lime crickets. The restaurant is also serving up a Beetle Juice beverage made from buttermilk, fresh lime, mango pulp and roasted mealworm powder.

While certainly not for everyone, the new insect-topped creations carry on the CNE's tradition of offering new and innovative food items.
