Taylor Knights was hired to renovate the Brunswick West House located in Victoria, Australia. It is updated to have a modern addition that functions as a connecting space between the home and the garden. Instead of taking the approach of reconfiguring the home, the entryway was created in the form of an ivy-lined pathway.
It separates the home into two halves with the first original space used as the private space. The new space is designed to host public activities. This addition is made up of three brick walls and it is entirely painted in white to contrast against the dark stained wooden ceilings. This creates a contemporary look that is still cozy for an at-home feel.
