Brüno, the fictional character played by Sacha Baron Cohen, is doing what many in the fashion publication industry wish they could do: Poke fun at some of their icons. Brüno gets to do just that in the new issue of British Marie Claire.
In a feature entitled, "A–Z List of Fashion," Brüno describes the untouchable Anna Wintour as a "pre-op trannie." He also takes a jab at Madonna’s unsuccessful attempt to adopt a second Malawian baby by saying, "little black child" is "zis seasons’s vardrobe essential."
Naomi Campbell isn’t safe from his sharp tongue either. Brüno writes, "She’s amazing--twenty years in ze business und all ze pressure und fame hasn’t changed her a bit--she’s remained a total bitch."
