'Brides Do Good' Allows Women to Buy Pre-owned Wedding Gowns

While most wedding dresses end up stuffed into the back of a closet after the wearer's special day, Chantal Khoueiry of Brides Do Good is on a mission to make sure those gorgeous gowns do not go to waste.

Brides Do Good is a brand new e-commerce platform that gives women a chance to purchase pre-owned wedding dresses. However, the online shop doesn't just stock any dresses, but rather, a highly curated selection of high-end gowns from designers such as Valentino, Oscar de la Renta and Philippa Lepley. In exchange for each designer gown sold, the seller receives one third of the profits, a third goes to the site and a third goes to two women's charities: Plan International and Too Young To Wed. Both charities help to support girls at risk of early marriage and both work to eradicate child marriage.

While buying a wedding dress is already a special experience, Brides Do Good helps to make brides-to-be feel even better about the gown they choose for their special day.
