Looking to capitalize on the plant-based boom, foodservice supplier Brakes has announced the launch of a new line of "traditional" vegan desserts. The new products consist of three plant-based reimaginings of their recently released hot pudding desserts. These include vegan versions of the brand's Sticky Toffee Pudding, Syrup Sponge Pudding, and Raspberry Jam Pudding.
According to the company, the new launch looks to fill a void in the vegan market by offering an alternative dessert product that tastes as good as the originals.
"We know that 15% of vegans struggle when eating out and one in five miss non-vegan foods. So, this range is a perfect addition to the menu, offering desserts that generations of people have loved and now everyone, including vegans, can continue to enjoy," said a spokesperson from Brakes in a recent press statement.
