Snøhetta Designs the Bolder Lodges in Lysefjord

Norwegian architectural studio Snøhetta designs the Bolder Lodges, which are four 35m2 cabins. This includes the Stylten, Eldhuset, Stjerna, and Myra. It is round on the mountainside so that guests are able to overlook views of Lysefjordden from over the tree line. Additionally, there are sheets of glass to really capture the feeling of blending into the nature that surrounds the retreat.

The cabins are constructed using natural materials to continue the theme with marble, leather, and wood for a dark and minimal visual complete with an earthy palette as well. Organic textures make up the interior accents such as the built-in bed and bathroom. Notably, all of the upper floors of the cabins are dedicated to a dining area and kitchen.
