The BMW 2 Series Active Tourer Comes in Three Different Versions

The new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is the company's first front wheel drive car as well as the first to feature a three-cylinder engine. The car is designed to set the groundwork for more front-wheel drive models, and is set to be introduced in Europe and China.

The BMW 2 Series Active Tourer comes in three different powertrain versions. The 218i model features a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine with a top speed of 200 km/h. The higher-performance 225i version features a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine allowing for a top speed of 235 km/h. Finally, the third option comes with a turbocharged 4-cylinder diesel engine capable of producing 150 hp.

The car features electric rear seats, an Active Guard collision system and the ability to switch between three driving modes -- Eco Pro, Comfort and Sport.
