At first, the Bipolaire Pendant Light will bring to mind whimsical and futuristic blimps floating in midair. The bulbous shape tapers off at the ends in a way that is at once organic and fantastical. Interestingly, the shape owes itself to the materials making up the lamp.
Made out of recycled glassware, including wine and champagne glasses, the Bipolaire Pendant Light maintains the graceful shapes of the latter two for a romantic effect. They were created by Tat Chao, a designer based in Montreal, Canada, and is part of his In Vitro Collection. According to Chao, In Vitro is "the rebirth of the rejected, the out of style, the damaged."
Thanks to his careful hands and imaginative mind, Bipolaire Pendant Light is far from out of style or damaged. In fact, they are beautifully poetic.
