Berlin-based designers of Studio Aisslinger has created a jungle in the 25hours Bikini Berlin Hotel. The hotel is located inside a 1950s Bikini-Haus building, near the Berlin Zoo. The hotel houses 149 individual units and was inspired by the desire to reflect the diverse city of Berlin, alluding to its jungle like wildness.
The designers at Studio Aisslinger has scattered foliage all over the interior of the Berlin hotel, complete with planters as walls to divide communal areas. Bags of vegetation are hung from the ceiling and plants can be seen lining windows and doorways. The corridors that lead to each separate room are signaled with glowing room numbers against exposed concrete ceilings.
The hotel also features a sauna that has views of the Tiergarten park below, with a rooftop deck that offers panoramic views of the Berlin landscape.
