Bichos by Martinho Pita is a lamp series that focuses on the natural beauty of branches. Strikingly organic, they nevertheless take on some animalistic qualities. It is appropriate, then, that the word 'bichos' means 'creatures' in Portuguese. From four-legged creatures to three-legged ones, the light fixtures are full of life even though they have been cut away from their tree.

Made out of Holly oak wood, Bichos by Martinho Pita are entirely made by hand. Since no two branches are alike, each lamp is a one of a kind creation. The only thing they have in common besides their sleek finish is the textile-covered electrical cords running through them to feed electricity to the bulb resting where the 'head' would be.
