Beyond Space created an office interior in Amsterdam that doubles as a showroom. Using rippling laser-cut fabric, the design studio created an elegant cave-like workspace. The nearby IJ-river informed the design to bring a bit of the natural world into the Siersea Interieur office.
Mimicking the ripple of waves, the draped fabric hangs from the ceiling in rows of varying lengths. Blanketed in semi-sheer fabric, the space is transformed into an ocean oasis. The fabric used boasts a smokey ocean hue to add to the desired theme. Beyond Space used several kilometers of the blue-green curtains to form six distinct areas, including a collection of workspaces and meeting rooms. Due to its polyester material, the sheer fabric filters natural light to create a calming tone.
