Following in the footsteps of a number of other fast food brands, Taco Cabana has announced the debut of two new plant-based dishes: the Beyond Meat Taco and the Beyond Meat Bowl. While the bowls may be meat-free, they still serve up bold Tex Mex flavors.
Both of Taco Cabana's new dishes are made with Beyond Meat, which is a plant-based protein that tastes like meat, but is completely free from soy, gluten, and GMOs. The first of the new Beyond Meat dishes is the Beyond Meat Taco, which combines Beyond Beef with shredded lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and guacamole in a crispy flour tortilla. In contrast, the Beyond Meat Bowl is completely vegan and made with Beyond Beef, Mexican rice, black beans, shredded lettuce, avocado salsa, a corn and calabacita mix, and guacamole in a crispy, bowl-shaped taco shell.
