Augmented Reality Poetry Books

Between Page and Screen is a Virtual Pop-Up Book

Between Page and Screen is a book of poetry that can only be read using a webcam. The book is best described as a "digital pop-up book" and is filled with love poems written back and forth between two characters named P and S.

The actual poems in the book were written by Amaranth Borsuk and the programming for the book was done by Brad Bouse. The book comes with blank pages with a black design in the center. If you want to see the poems you must log onto the Between Page and Screen website and hold the book up to your webcam. The website detects each specific image and displays the text onscreen using an awesome 3D animation. The sample poems shown in the video are clever and cute and the animation is visually stunning. The book is available now and sells for $24. You can check out a small sample of it in the video here.
