The annual festival South by Southwest is sponsored in part by Bud Light and the brand enlisted the artist Nate Duval to create its beer art for the festival, for the second year in a row.
The purpose of the packaging is to embody the culture and "vibe" of the city SXSW is based in, namely Austin. As a result, Nate Duval wanted to create an illustration that was both energizing and that captures the general feel of the event. The final product, which goes on the brand's beer cans and bottles for the upcoming event, is vibrant and makes good use of color. At the bottom of the image is a city skyline, while the rest is made up of vivid, somewhat abstract art.
Bud Light's beer art by Nate Duval works to capture the essence of both SXSW and Austin's culture.
