BadDETT is a new company that aims to promote musicians through fashion. BadDETT is a subscription-based service that offers subscribers one t-shirt fitted with a QR code that can be used to download music.

BadDETT releases one new shirt a month, with each shirt promoting a different group or artist. Stitched into each shirt's tag is a QR code that, when scanned, lets you download a Zip file containing tracks from the artist(s) on the shirt. The subscription comes in packages of six and 12 months with subscribers getting a price break of around $5.50 for each shirt purchased (shirts are priced at $31 apiece for non-subscribers).

I am not someone who goes in search of unknown musical acts, but I still love the idea behind badDETT. Here's hoping a service like this can take hold in America as there are tons of unsigned artists who could benefit from some fashionable promotion.
