James Harden Inspires the New Y-3 Clothing Line

Following the release of the Y-3 JH Boost performance shoe, the Japanese high fashion label continues its collaboration with basketball star James Harden, releasing an athlete fashion-inspired capsule for the NBA All-Star Weekend.

A recurring and integral design motif of the monochromatic collection is the Botan flower -- a symbol of "bravery, nobility, honor, respect and good fortune." The element is made to reference the personality of James Harden on and off the court, as well as the mission statement and presence of the Y-3 label.

Following an inspiring athlete fashion line-up of oversized bombers, cropped pants, crews and tailored shirts, the six-piece collection brings up a 90s-inspired off-court shoe -- the Y-3 BYW, that debuted on the runway in January.
