Asics has put together a very clever way to pump up their shoe sales. Asics released a one-item package to 10 participants in order to set up the "Left and Right" campaign.
The 80's footwear line asked the simple commonsensical question of, "What’s a left without a right?" Each package handed out has a message on the front of the case explaining the campaign, but as for that one item inside the case, it’s actually a half item.
The idea behind the campaign was for the participants to find their other half (left or right) in order to put together the little item. The different containers consisted of (all small items, and not real) a bike, a watch, a car, a stereo, a phone, etc.
It’s an interesting co-operative campaign, but could quite possibly grab a fair amount of positive attention.
