Portland born, New York-based artist Amy Bennett has a style, concept, and aesthetic all her own. As an artist, Amy Bennett's work is focused on recreating paintings based off of miniature model homes and scenes she builds.
Look closely at some of the images, believe it or not, they have been created entirely with paint. She takes different scenes (i.e. "At the Lake," "Neighbors," or "Monotypes,") and uses her ample technical skill to bring these images to life. As an artist, Amy Bennett got some of the best training available to someone in the United States. She was a BFA Summa cum laude from the University of Hartford in Hartford, Connecticut, and then she topped it off with a Masters of Fine Arts from the prestigious New York Academy of Art in New York City.
Amy Bennett's artwork has been exhibited around the world, including the Galleri Magnus Karlsson in Stockholm, Sweden, the Tomio Koyama Gallery in Tokyo, Japan, and the Richard Heller Gallery in New York City.
