While books are commonly enjoyed by many people, they aren't normally known to be used as art sculptures or visual displays.
Michigan-based artist Math Monahan created braided book installations entitled 'Between,' which showcases books bounded beautifully with one another to bring about something different in the art scene. The artworks are braided in a similar manner as a French braid, but a number of the displays aren't actually bounded together, letting the pages unwind over a period of time.
Monahan's projects cover such aspects as photography, book art sculptures and installations. With a BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design as a Drawing major, it shouldn't surprise us of how talented this artist truly is.
