The Aqua Creations Custom Lighting 2012 installation is a work of art. Made out of crushed silk that has been ruched to create a stunning textured effect, the finished product looks like something out of a luxury spaceship. The futuristic design is made out of glamorous geometric shapes that add to the texture via their triangular metal frames.
Created in collaboration with the design studio's Swiss representative Sphinx, the Aqua Creations Custom Lighting 2012 installation is set to grace the skylight of an old barn. According to Contemporist, "The aim was to make an impressive yet understated center piece that would merge with the space and give it a contemporary feel." It will be put on display in its intended space during Designers’ Saturday in Langenthal, Switzerland .
