'Flame Shack' owner Saber Chowdhury designed a new menu to appeal to international visitors. Toronto recently hosted the Pan Am games which led to a massive influx of tourists. Chowdhury's new menu was designed to appeal to these worldly visitors as well as Toronto residents.
While Chowdhury is originally from Bangladesh, his new menu was designed to appeal to international visitors from all over the world. The expanded menu specifically focused on dishes from countries that competed in the Pan Am games, including Argentina, Mexico and Haiti. Each dish was handmade from fresh ingredients. Chowdhury studied traditional recipes and techniques in order to give the food an authentic taste.
Although the Pan Am games have ended, this specialty menu demonstrates the need to cater to the many different kinds of visitors that come to Canada.
