Every year, Peet's Coffee releases a limited-edition anniversary coffee and this year's edition is a 100% women grown coffee that supports The Women's Center for Entrepreneurship in Huila, Colombia. Anniversary 2020 helps to continue the work of the center established by Peet's Coffee, Coocentral and Sustainable Harvest in 2019, which helps to address the fact that female coffee farmers often have limited access to business resources. Through courses and trainings, women coffee farmers have the opportunity to be educated and empowered with income diversification and financial resiliency.
The single-origin coffee takes the form of a dark roast that's described as having "a profile of fine chocolate with a velvety finish." For every pound of Anniversary 2020 that's sold, Peet's Coffee will be donating a dollar to the center, up to a total of $50,000.
