Even though many print publications are folding and news outlets are increasingly going digital, this brand is launching a print newspaper featuring analog content. Digital detox brand Folk Rebellion will print its inaugural issue of The Dispatch in January 2018, with monthly issues to follow.
The non-conformist startup is aiming to offer "a much needed reprieve from our always-on-high-fructose-corn-syrup society." The alternative analog content is also a reaction to mainstream media. The Folk Rebellion Dispatch will kick off against content for content's sake, include curse words and generally offer a countercultural look to a world that is always plugged in and on the go.
In recent years many individuals and companies have advocated for more balance when it comes to screen and technology use.
