The concept of the green wall has flourished in the AMKK House Vision Washroom, growing and spreading to take over every surface of the space. No part of the building's structural materials is visible beyond the lush and leafy walls and the thriving understory floor, except for the elevated glass and steel planes beneath your feet.
Botanical expert Makoto Azuma worked with Naruse-Inokuma Architects, TOTO and YKK AP to come up with this beautiful burgeoning bathroom design. All surfaces are lined with thick bushy plants of a variety of species with fascinatingly different textures. Any sentiments about the restroom being the dirtiest corner of the home are banished upon entry into the refreshing oxygen-producing AMKK House Vision Washroom.
