Amber Grace Dixon's latest project for Vice is pretty straight-forward: just two guys, a bull terrier and an abandoned house. The simple editorial features models Angus McGuinness and Sebastian Ahman as sad, sullen youths who stumble upon an abandoned house in their search for adventure.
The shoot appeals to an exploratory instinct in all of us. After all, who can resist the temptation of wandering in abandoned territory, imagining the story of the previous owners? The home is austere and bare, lending the shoot a melancholy vibe.
The boys were styled by Safiya Yekwai in a hipster uniform of combat boots, mesh shirts and tapered pants. Their hair and makeup were done by Phoebe Alana Brown.
