Southern Comfort's Alcoholic Drink Ad Features a Scary Shark Manicure

Considering that the Discovery Channel's Shark Week is now happening, this alcoholic drink ad for Southern Comfort could not have come at a better time. The commercial is set to the sound of a chill-inducing song and if you know that the ad is called 'Shark' going in, you have to know that there's got to be a dark twist.

The commercial focuses in on a woman with an intricate manicure, although it may not even be apparent the first time you watch it that the designs on her nails are painted to look like a shark that's ready to bite into something. Well into the ad, the woman sticks her manicured finger into her drink and stabs the cherry, making it seem as though it's bleeding from the impact of being pierced by the sharp, shark-like nail.
