The 'Chil-Dish Project' from designers Kristos Mavrostomos and Anna van der Leij was developed to give young kids the chance to create 3D-printed designs and gourmet dishes to go with them. While this might seem like a daunting task, kids were simply asked to design a piece of dinnerware for their favorite dish.
More than 300 children from the ages of one to 16 participated in the project and the duo behind the project selected 10 winning designs to be produced by Shapweways.
After the 3D-printed designs were printed in food-safe materials, Restaurant OLO joined the project in order to help kids complete the journey to becoming a five-star chef. The multidisciplinary Chil-Dish Project is an inspiring project to empower the next generation of makers.
