24h-Berlin-Projekt Shows a Crazy in the Life of Germany's Capital

The 24h-Berlin-Projekt reflects the real-life actions of people in German's capital for exactly 24 hours, from 6 am on September 5, 2008 to 6 am September 6, 2008.

The reality documentary started as a unique story idea to tell a story from the perspective of the city's inhabitants. A year later, at 6 am on September 5, 2009, the 24 hour footage taken by 80 camera crews is being aired by ARTE, VPRO and YLE Teema.

The 24h-Berlin-Projekt resulted in 750 hours of footage, 18 Terabyte of memory, all of which was archived, 24 hours (1440 minutes) of which were aired this week.

The 24h-Berlin-Projekt started as an innovative concept to track happenings in the big city; not long after, it became a massive media experiment.
