Dr. Martens works in collaboration with fashion imprint Babylon LA on a new iteration of the signature 1461 silhouette for the season. The shoes are detailed with a tear-away accent over the upper that starts with a black Wanama leather material that makes up the base foundation.
It is then detailed with olive green tonal canvas on top, which rips open on purpose on the lateral side to unveil the base. Wearers have the option to either use the carving kit and unveil the tear-away detail themselves or allow natural aging to create the design. The two brands do note that it is "designed to mark and tear with wear and may eventually tear off entirely."
