Vans Skateboarding works in collaboration with Chinese artist Zhang Quan on a limited-edition launch release that celebrates the Lunar New Year coming up. The iconic skate shoes are altered to be suitable for the elderly with unique updates and textural changes. The brand's Skate Rowley, the Knu Skool, and the Old Skool models are redesigned.
The main changes include a beige colorway, a tweed textural base, and pearls. The designer adds the knitted tween pattern which can be seen at the base of the three models. Pearl accents also run along the brand's iconic wavy Jazz Stripe logo and the extended folded-over tongue can also be seen in the new transformations as well. The looks were shared online on Instagram by Vans designer Ricki Dai.
