Creative director Cecilia Bonstrom came up with a collection inspired by the wild, wild west for the Zadig and Voltaire Spring 2014 show.
The models walked the runway in a series of leather cowboy belts, embellished boots, hats and lots and lots of fringe. Fringe appeared on the runway on bags, leather jackets, dresses and shawls. Bonstrom dressed up leather skirts with intricate lace caplets shawls with trains for dramatic effect.
The collection was mostly monochromatic, white-and-black affair, disrupted by sporadic pops of red or gold. Overall, the Zadig and Voltaire Spring ready to wear collection hearkens back to the wild ways of the old west without being too overbearing and can definitely be enjoyed by country girls and city girls equally.
