The photos featured here offer a look into the YSL Atelier New York collaboration. Yves Saint Laurent's Stefano Pilati worked with Atelier New York on a men's collection for spring and the line is said to be "injected with the gothy goodness.â€
Considering the dark tones and baggy bottoms with slim-fitting tops, I would say that "gothy goodness" is pretty much the best way to describe it.
Implications - As North American society becomes more saturated with vibrant clothing apparel, consumers are finding it much more difficult to differentiate themselves from their peers through color selections. As such, many of them are reverting back to darker tones in order to satiate their need of individualism. Corporations need to constantly differentiate their wares from their competitors' if they're to garner consumer interest.
