YouTube has announced an update for its YouTube TV app that will include a section where users can stream broadcast television shows. This service will be free and supported by mid-roll advertisements, similar to conventional television networks. However, a free streaming service is an excellent option for individuals who are unwilling to pay high premiums. YouTube has not yet confirmed whether or not its YouTube Premium subscription service will remove ads from the TV shows.
YouTube users that prefer to use mobile or web-based devices will also have access to this feature. At its initial debut, this new television streaming service will include over "4,000 episodes" of popular TV shows such as 'Hell's Kitchen.' YouTube is currently one of the most downloaded streaming services as it is a diverse platform for kids' entertainment, professional content creators, educational content, and much more. This means there is a large consumer base to bring broadcast television to for free.
