The new Yop bottles are being launched in the UK as part of the brand's shift towards a more sustainable packaging solution that incorporates more recycled material. The packaging consists of clear PET that includes 35% recycled PET (rPET) and is paired with a branding sleeve on the exterior that has micro-perforations to allow for easy removal by the consumer before being recycled. The bottles also have an attached cap to reduce littering and allow for easier recycling, while also helping consumers to not misplace it.
General Manager at Yoplait UK Antoine Hours commented on the new Yop bottles saying, "Our ambition is for all of our packaging to be recyclable by the end of 2025 and the move to PET and inclusion of rPET in our Yop bottles this year and the move to PET for our Petits Filous, Wildlife, Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol pots last year has seen us take a huge step towards this ambition."
