Hot Wheels Will Attempt the World's Longest Car Jump at the Indy 500

Hot Wheels is planning on jumping over a tricked-out trophy truck at over 302 feet in the air at this year's Indy 500 in an attempt to break the record for the world's longest car jump. The truck will be driven by an as-of-yet member of Team Hot Wheels, Hot Wheels' new extreme sports team comprised of thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies.

The truck will be launched off of a 100-foot ramp that bears a striking similarity to Hot Wheels' toy tracks. I really like how Hot Wheels is trying to appeal to older audiences with stunts like this, and their recent high ad campaigns. I haven't touched a Hot Wheels car in years, but I am very excited to see if Team Hot Wheels can break the record for the world's longest car jump.
