UNICEF's 'World Refugee Day 20 June: Children on the Run' video takes an intensely personal look at why families are fleeing their homes all across the world. As children in the video explain, war zones are a leading cause to why many children have been displaced from their homes and are living in refugee camps worldwide.

Though international aid agencies, such as UNICEF, are helping out, the fact remains that 7 million children are refugees internationally. The UNICEF video states that "more families were displaced in 2012 than the previous 18 years," a sobering statistic on the worsening state of many areas in the world.
