Most know Lou Reed as the rocking founder of the legendary Velvet Underground, so I was very surprised to discover that he is also a very talented photographer. In his book and upcoming exhibit of the same name ‘Romanticism,’ images of a Winter Wonderland are conjured up.
The focus here is on peaceful landscapes and architecture and it is done beautifully. I am consummate fan of the sun and warm weather, but Lou Reed manages to make winter look wonderful through his photography. I guess even though he has traded in his guitar for a camera, Lou Reed still rocks.
