British design studio Will Gamble Architects extended and renovated a Victorian home located in South London. The refurbishments included new curved structures and a palette that highlights natural materials with the goal of creating a calm ambiance. This is home to a married couple who were looking to form a home to build their lives. Architecture firm Protoc & Shaw helped develop the planned drawings as well.
Gamble approached the design process with the concept of what he described as 'soft minimalism' in the interiors. Explaining what this means, the architect notes, "Soft minimalism is defined by curved lines, gentle tonal hues, natural materials and carefully curated spaces. This aesthetic allowed us to deliver a highly bespoke project tailored to our clients' needs."
