From OpenSignal, this new app shows a wifi map so you always know where the nearest place with Internet is. WifiMapper is a free mobile app that is compatible with iOS and now Android devices too. The app shows more than 3 million wifi hotspots around the world.
The wifi map allows you to keep an eye on all the networks you have connected to through the app. WifiMapper also has a crowdsourced list of Internet passwords and up to date reliability ratings. The Android version of the app, unlike the iOS, enables users to connect to networks directly, so you will not have to search for networks in your phone's settings.
